Things that make me laugh

Poor poor children
Or we can learn to cook. Could you imagine, children that cook AND clean? They might be crafted to death. Decker would die, he hates crafts sometimes.
Yeah, they're going to regret the day I said I was bored. Now at least I have something new to do.
Woe unto my poor children.
Doldrums
- Move our home movies to DVD
- Organize all my digital photos
- Make slide shows of them
- Plant my flowers (have to wait for the darn deck to be stained and the guy is taking FOREVER!)
- See how tan I can get
- Swim all day in the pool
But I just don't feel like it. Could be because I've done a large portion of my summer list these last few weeks. Clean and reorganize the house, back up our files, garage sale, file and other various activites that were put off because of school (mine not theirs). Now I've just hit the lazy part of summer when everything is dull. Not that I'm complaining. I have a job in the fall, I don't have to work too hard this summer, the house cleans up really quick and I'm lucky enough to get to be home with the kids.
But I'm bored. Dreaded words when I was little. Then it usually involved a rag and a bottle of wood soap. We'd resort to playing school. Now my poor children are going to get to play school and I have real worksheets. Poor babies. Writing journals, prewriting, brainstorm webs, dot to dots, follow the directions pages. I'm even going to be dragging them to the track with me. They will probably equate boredom with more terror than we did. It's fine when the kids are bored, but what about the mom? Then what happens? You'll have to ask them.

Filing....
I spent today going through my photo archives. I've taken almost 20 cds and am transferring all of those photos on to about four DVDs. I so love my new burner! Makes it easier to find all my files.
Next is cleaning up my computer files and getting rid of duplicate photos. I also with the help of my lovely assistant, Marc, have figured out how to transfer video from our camcorders to the computer. Now all those hours of tape will be easily browsed on DVD's. Got to love technology.

Dishwasher or the man?
I think I may be a little more excited about the dishwasher....Then again, I can run away from the children for a few hours when Marc is finally back.

Blog Changes
June 01, 2006
Since Hannah had her blog green first, I decided to change mine around again. This is of course, a free template from somewhere else. I thought about doing a LOST blog just to tease Lesley but went with the Retro for now. I have some others I really like so I might be changing them around.
