The meaning of life........

Finals are almost over. I only have a few left (two to be exact). And today, while I was studying boring, yucky arrays in programming, I found what life is all about.

It's about the breaks. I don't mean the time we have off, I'm talking about things that get broken. Relationships, people, things, all of it breaks. And then we mend and it's better. And we love and forgive and breaks make up the whole. It's all about breaking and becoming better after the breaks.

I know, it sounds so silly and simple. It sounds crazier when I tell you I got my enlightenment when I was watching Judging Amy. The characters were in a bar dancing, one just left her fiance at the alter, another had lost his wife, another was raising her child alone and the other character was a widow. And there they were, broken, but with new people dancing and falling in love again. The breaks just made them better somehow.

It's so true. I have a friend newly divorced who really needs to hear this. We need to understand that breaks are just passages to other, often better things! I need to remember this, too.
